QFN refers to Quad Flat No-lead Package, which is a new SMT package technology with sealing material of plastic whose pads is a type of small size and volume;
A couple of characteristics:
- No-lead Package
- Square or Rectangle
- A huge bare pads under the centre of bottom whose function is heat conduction
- Conductive pads over the huge bare pads which is to realize electrical connection
